Step 1: Choose Your Text Style

The first decision is selecting a text style. You will see seven options displayed as cards on the generator page. Each card shows the style name, an icon, and a brief description. Click on any card to select it. When selected, a preview of the style appears below the cards so you can see what the text will look like before generating.

The five basic styles are Classic Latin, Hipster, Corporate, Tech Startup, and Pirate. Each draws from a unique word bank of over 100 curated words and phrases. The two advanced options, Smart Mix and Themed, offer more sophisticated generation capabilities described below.

Step 2: Select Your Generation Mode

Choose how you want your text generated by selecting one of three modes: Paragraphs, Sentences, or Words. Paragraphs mode generates full paragraphs with multiple sentences each, ideal for body text mockups. Sentences mode generates individual sentences, useful for headlines, subheadings, or list items. Words mode generates a stream of individual words, perfect for tags, labels, or single-line fields.

Step 3: Set the Count

Use the slider or the number input to specify how much text to generate. The range depends on your mode: up to 50 paragraphs, 100 sentences, or 1,000 words. The current count is displayed prominently above the slider in amber text. You can drag the slider for quick adjustment or type an exact number in the input field for precision.

Step 4: Configure Options

Three toggle switches let you customize the output. The "Start with Lorem ipsum..." toggle prepends the classic opening phrase to your generated text, which is standard practice in the industry. The "HTML p tags" toggle wraps each paragraph in HTML paragraph tags, making the output ready to paste directly into your code. The "Line numbers" toggle adds line numbers to the output display, useful for referencing specific lines in team discussions.

Step 5: Using Smart Mix

When you select the Smart Mix style, a creativity slider appears. This slider controls how much variety is blended into your text. At 0% creativity, the output is primarily classical Latin. As you increase toward 100%, words from all five styles are mixed together more evenly. A setting around 40 to 60 percent produces a good balance of variety and readability. Experiment with different levels to find what works best for your project.

Step 6: Using Themed Generation

Select the Themed style to reveal a text input field labeled "Make it sound like...". Type a topic such as "food," "space," "music," or "nature" to generate text incorporating relevant vocabulary. The generator matches your input against curated word banks for six categories: food, tech, nature, sports, space, and music. You can also type related keywords like "cooking," "guitar," or "mountain" and the generator will find the best matching theme. If no specific match is found, it creates an eclectic blend from all themed banks.

Step 7: Generate and Use Your Text

Click the "Generate Lorem Ipsum" button to produce your text. The output appears below with a smooth fade-in animation. You have two ways to use the generated text. Click the "Copy" button to copy it to your clipboard, and you will see a green checkmark confirmation. Alternatively, click "Download TXT" to save it as a text file. Below the output, you will find detailed statistics including character count, word count, sentence count, paragraph count, and a Flesch Reading Ease score with a grade level indicator.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use Paragraphs mode with 3 to 5 paragraphs for typical body text mockups
